Ian Schneieri

Ian Schneier has recently completed his Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder. During his time there, he founded the school’s IEEE student chapter which has about 100 members. Additionally, he is involved with the Humanitarian Activities Committee as a member of the HAC Events Committee review board for large events, which delegates HAC sponsorship for IEEE events (including Rising Stars). As an engineer, Ian specializes in designing embedded systems, devices utilizing software to perform everyday tasks in the IoT ecosystem.

Donia Amami
IEEE Region 8, Tunisia section
Donia Amami is an embedded software engineer, she graduated from the national engineering school of Gabes, in electrical and automatic major. She is currently an IEEE graduate member within IEEE ENIT Student Branch. Our ambassador is an active IEEE member with various and appreciated volunteering. She started her IEEE student membership in 2016, where she served as the PES ENIG SBC chairwoman and WIE Affinity group ENIG SB vice chairwoman.
She is also a member in different other technical societies like IAS, PES, PELS and EMBS alongside various IEEE disciplinary societies. She volunteered as an ambassador for many events and competitions, IEEE Brand, IEEE Day 2018, PES Day 2018, MadC 2018, IEEE PES HAC, and PES Zero Hunger Day of IEEE Tunisia Section SIGHT Group. As well as many international events such as WIE ILS Porto, WIE ILS Tunisia.
She, with her team, won the second prize of the CMD Humanitarian Project contest for their project “Ecol’ lo Irrigation System” during the IAS Annual Meeting 2018, Portland, USA. She is also the winner of the second Prize of PES Green Entrepreneur Competition during the PES Student Congress 2018, Sao Bernardo do Campo, Brazil. She is dedicated to spreading the knowledge about IEEE to everyone and saw this as an opportunity to carry on her work as volunteering woman engineer.

Aditya Allamraju
IEEE Region 10, Hyderabad section
Aditya Allamraju is an active member of IEEE society where her volunteering skills have been appreciated. She has also membership in number of other technical societies like ISRS, ISPRS and AICTSD along with various IEEE disciplinary societies. She has published 13 research papers in her Under-graduation in reputed UGC journals with the support and guidance of her faculty. She is highly interested and also actively participated in number of international and national seminars/ conferences held in India. She is also the winner of the random drawing for 50% discount on IEEE WIE ILC 2020 and also earned the 2019 IEEE Women in Leadership Contributor Badge; and Second prize (cash prize of 10,000 INR, 1year student membership, certificate) in IEEE GRSS Brand Competition.
Tianlin Wang
IEEE Region 4, Southeastern Michigan Section
Tianlin Wang is currently a Graduate Student Research Assistant with the Radiation Laboratory, Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, University of Michigan. His research work contributes to Level 1 data calibration/validation and Level 2 wind speed retrieval for the Cyclone Global Navigation Satellite System (CYGNSS) NASA Earth Venture mission. His research interests include microwave remote sensing, GNSS reflectometry, and radio frequency circuits. Mr. Wang is the founding chair of the IEEE GRSS student branch chapter at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He is the recipient of 2018 IEEE Mikio Takagi Student Prize, awarded for the Best Student Paper at 2018 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium. He won the Outstanding Student Presentation Award at the 2018 American Geophysical Union Fall Meeting. He received the 2018 IEEE Young Professionals Arctic Challenge Award and the 2019 IEEE Southeastern Michigan (SEM) Section Outstanding Student Award.
Stephen Johnston

My name is Stephen Johnston. I’m an Electrical Engineering graduate student from Portland State University. My bachelor’s degree was a dual major for Physics and Electrical Engineering. I’m a native Washington/Oregon resident, having lived on the border between Oregon and Washington most of my adult life. I found IEEE through the previous chair, who guided me into creating events and meeting industry representatives. Two years have passed since then, giving me a unique perspective as a leader in IEEE. I served as the Treasurer for one of those two years and have served as both Student Section Representative and IEEE HKN chair for the past year. I am proud to be an IEEE ambassador and I look forward to meeting all of you.
Lan Zhang

Lan Zhang is currently a Graduate Student Research Assistant with the Wireless Information and Networked Things Lab (WINET), Department of Electrical Science and Computer Engineering, University of Florida. Lan has authored and coauthored more than 20 academic publications. Her research interests include big data, wireless communications, machine learning and cyber security with emphasis on various Internet-of-Things and cyber-physical applications. Lan is currently a student member of IEEE Communications Society. She served as a reviewer for more than 10 IEEE journals and conferences. She won two IEEE Student Travel Grants for IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC), Shanghai, China, 2019, and IEEE Global Communications Conference (GLOBECOM), Kailua-Kona, HI, USA, 2019. She was a speaker at Grace Hopper Celebration (GHC) 2019, Orlando, FL, USA.
Ahmed Nouh
IEEE Region 8, Egypt Section
Ahmed Nouh is an Alexandria University graduate, with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering. Currently, he is the Mobile Payments Assistant Product Manager at the Commercial International Bank in Egypt, Egypt’s largest private sector bank and the country’s most profitable financial services institution. Ahmed is working in the Financial Inclusion department with a focus on Mobile Money & Digital Financial Services. He believes that this is the solution to many of Egypt and Africa’s economic challenges; He believes his job helps in rebuilding the economic system in his country. Moreover, Ahmed is an active member IEEE; the largest technology association in the world, His Engineering background, passion for technology and his country’s development are what drives him to complete his work and efforts.
Alexandra Samaroo

My name is Alexandra Samaroo and I am the chairperson for the Student Branch at the University of the West Indies St. Augustine Campus. I am currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the university. I started my IEEE student membership in 2018, where I served as the Secretary and the Public Relations Officer for that academic year. I am dedicated to spreading the knowledge about IEEE to everyone and saw this as an opportunity to continue to do so. Hamza Talha GUMUS

Hello, I am a 4th year student at Kırıkkale University Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department. Before meeting with IEEE, I was the student representative of Kırıkkale University in the 23rd and 24th Term of the Chamber of Electrical Engineers Ankara Branch of the Union of Chambers of Turkish Architects and Engineers (March 2017 – December 2018). I was the founding member of the board of Kırıkkale University Electrical and Electronics Engineers community and I was the member relations and human resources coordinator (November 2017-December 2018). Later, I was the founding chairman of Kırıkkale University Electrical and Electronics Engineering Central Student Society (January 2019-May 2019). As of January 2019, I was in the team that activated the IEEE student branch in our school, and I was the head of the student branch (January 2019-May 2019).I held various embassy posts in IEEE. These; IEEEDAY 2019 Ambassador, PES Zero Hunger Day Ambassador, IEEEmadC 2019 Ambassador, IEEEXtreme 13.0 Ambassador and Brand Ambassador. I am the ambassador of the IEEE Rising Stars Conference. I am also a member of IEEE Turkey EMBS coordination team and technical team.
Kanchule Sinyangwe (SIKA)

Kanchule Sinyangwe was born in Mansa, Luapula, Zambia. He is currently pursuing a Computer Science degree in Computer Systems Engineering from the University of Zambia. Sika is an AI enthusiast that is in both machine learning and deep learning. He is interested in Computer Systems, Electrical Power Generation and Industrial Machines work and hold a Certificate in Plumbing and Metal Fabrication. Also the holder of a certificate in IT Essentials, Programming Essentials in C, CCNA 1 & 2 Routing and Switching and Linux. He is also a Python and Java Programmer. Current Huawei Campus Ambassador and IEEE Rising Stars Ambassador. Executive member and founders of IEEE Student chapter of the University of Zambia (UNZA) responsible for Media, Promotion and Advertisement. Part of Zanaco Innovators Association and UNZA Computer Society.
Muhammad Hamza Ihtisham

I am Network Supervision Specialist at JAZZ Pakistan one the largest Telecommunication Brand of the Pakistan. I graduated from University of the Punjab where, I started IEEE Punjab University student branch with some of my close mates. In the 1st year of the student branch, we organized the 1st IEEE COMSOC Summer School of R10 with the collaboration of IEEE UET and IEEE COMSOC. Later on, based on my strong leadership and volunteerism I got appointed as the Section Student Representative of IEEE Lahore Section. During my tenure, I took many initiatives for the member development and membership engagements. We were successful to cooperate in the formation of 5 new student branches. During my SSR tenure my paper got published and I appointed the chapter representative of IEEE IAS Lahore Chapter and Executive SAC Member IEEE Lahore Section. In that year, I won 3 international student competitions. I did my final year project on neurosciences and discovered how we can combat depression through the technology. Moreover, I delivered 2 TEDx Talks based upon this research project. I am part of IEEE from last 4 years and member of 4 technical chapters, 6 technical communities and 5 technical councils. I am proud to be member of IEEE.
Zillah Nangobi

I am currently pursuing a bachelors’ degree in Computer Engineering at Makerere University in Uganda and I am in my second year. I have been an active member of IEEE ever since I joined Makerere University in 2017. As an active IEEE member, I have attended and participated in most of the events organized by IEEE in Uganda and as a result, I have built my networks with other students in other universities and professionals, both local and international, I have obtained knowledge and skills like robotics, life skills, smart village, how to write a paper/proposal and so many others. I am currently the IEEE secretary Makerere University student branch and I am looking forward to playing my role well as a Rising Star ambassador
