IEEE and The Young Professionals

The IEEE Rising Stars Conference was launched in January 2015 by IEEE Region 6 (Western USA).  Rising Stars has since attracted attendees from across the United States, Canada, and around the world.  The Conference engages young professionals and students to address their collective need for opportunities to network with other professionals, share ideas, and become more innovative.  The Rising Stars Conference accomplishes this through a variety of workshops, engineering competitions, seminars, and corporate and professional mixers.
At the conference, attendees can participate in events in either the technical track, which has industry experts representing emerging technologies, or the professional development track, where they can learn vital skills for thriving in a corporate setting.  Throughout the years, the conference has developed a diverse program and brought together participants from around the world.  Our conference vision is to engage more industry representatives who will inspire and share knowledge with conference attendees.  Rising Stars Conference 2022 will be a hybrid event, where we have an in-person conference as well as a virtual component associated with it.  While the physical event could attract approximately 400 young professionals and university students, the virtual conference attendance is unlimited. The speakers at the Rising Stars Conference are invited by the Organizing Committee. Speakers represent decision makers, thought leaders, and experts in their industry. Importantly, they freely interact and exchange ideas with conference attendees.
Through a diverse program based on a combination of interactive sessions, keynote presentations and networking sessions, the conference is designed to accomplish two major goals:
