Who to ask for Funding
We highly encourage you to reach out to your local IEEE Section and your University to secure funding for your students to attend the IEEE Rising Stars Conference. Some Student Branches have also had success in getting Corporate Sponsors to fund their attendance. By taking proactive steps now, you can increase your chances of securing funding and ensuring your participation in this valuable experience.
Why Should We Get Funding Early
The earlier you can get on the 2024 budget for your local IEEE Section, the better your odds are of getting more funding and therefore more students to attend. We encourage you to request funding to your IEEE Section no later than Jul 1st, 2023 to give the section enough time to consider your request and add it to their budget.
How to ask for funding
Follow this link to a letter template that you can send to your IEEE Section and/or University to request funding for your students.
ONE EMAIL sent to your Section Chair NOW could help multiple students attend in 2024. This will be such a gift to future students so they are not struggling to find funding at the last minute when sections have finished allocating their budgets at the end of the year.
